Hey Church!
Every year, around this time, we’re all asked to think about and pray about the practice of generosity, specifically as it relates to the ongoing work of our church. Woods Chapel Church is on an important mission: Connecting people to Jesus Christ by building a movement where all are included, accepted, and loved. We’re living out that mission as a church and making a difference in our world!
I’m sure you know that living out our mission requires resources, especially as we continue to see growth in so many areas: The number of people attending worship, the number of new guests, the people we’re reaching in Raytown, and our new CLEARR Recovery Ministry. Our children and student ministries continue their growth, and our missions are helping thousands of people both locally and internationally. All this happens when we work together and give together.
When it comes to our 2025 annual giving, we’re each asked to pray, “God, what do you want to do through me to accomplish your will in our church?” That includes using our time, skills, and financial support. Each year we challenge everyone who calls WCC home to fill out an annual commitment card. (If you’re a member of the church, you’ve already promised to do this, so now is your chance!) Janet and I plan to take a step forward in our generosity, and I dare you to join us. Great things are happening at WCC and amazing things are on the horizon. Remember, whenever we give something away, we create a space that God can fill. The practice of generosity changes us and the world around us! Take a look through this brochure to see some highlights and make time to make your 2025 commitment.
It’s awesome serving Jesus with you!
Grace and Peace,
