  • Description of Responsibilities

    TreeHouse Buddies provide support during K-5th grade Sunday School in the Gym & Fellowship Hall at the 9:15 & 10:30 SS hours. The Buddies’ main responsibilities are being relationship-builders (a friendly, familiar face to the kids on Sunday), helping kids engage in activities led by the Worship Leader, keeping track of kids as they transition from the Gym to Fellowship Hall and back to the Gym, and overseeing check-out for their assigned age group.

    TreeHouse Buddies will be assigned to a specific age group to assist. The kids will be divided into three

    groups based on grade level:

    • Kindergarten & 1st grade

    • 2nd & 3rd grade

    • 4th & 5th grade.

    The TreeHouse Buddies do not prepare lessons. They are relationship-builders with the kids. The only

    requirements to being a Buddy are:

    • Have a loving heart

    • Enjoy being with children

    • Have a sense of humor

    • Be willing to help connect children with Jesus Christ.

  • Welcome families and show new families to their children's classrooms and introduce them to teachers. Primary skills include hospitality, kindness, and knowledge of teachers and classrooms. Time commitment is Sunday mornings from 9-9:15 AM and 10:10-10:30 AM.

  • We have special events throughout the year that provide fun activities for the families of our church and community. Each event requires many different types of helpers.  Sign up to be a part of our special event crew and we will contact you to let you know the needs of each individual event.

  • Set-Up Crew: Help create an environment to encourage fun and learning for our kids. This involves arriving early to set up the stage and worship area, games and activities, and any small group space.

    Clean-Up Crew: Help tear down the Sunday environment to prepare for our We Care friends arriving Monday morning.

  • Write and send notes to children who are celebrating a birthday or another important event, and send notes that teachers have written for children in their class. Time commitment is flexible and is approximately 1 hour during the week.
